Fr. Michael in Vietnam

Fr. Michael has returned to Vietnam to handle Visa paperwork.  We are uncertain as to how long he will have to stay, but you can correspond with him at his e-mail address: thanhnguyenpeace@yahoo.com.  Thank you for your continued prayers and support while he is away.

Announcements for March 7, 2010

·        Please continue to respond to our Lenten Almsgiving this year will be sent to Saltillo, Mexico where Fr. Benny Piovan is building a church.  You can offer your Lenten sacrifices throughout the season by picking up a mission envelope in the gathering space of the church.

·        Our Lenten Parish Mission will be March 15^th-March 17^th.  Archbishop Alfred Hughes will be the presenter.  Please mark your calendars.  Our Communal Penance Service will be March 18^th.

• We are seeking donations for the Silent and live auction for our Parish Fair in April.  Anyone interested in making a donation, please contact the Parish Office. 

·        There will be a baked chicken and dirty rice dinner available on March 14^th from 11 am to 1 pm in the Family Life Center.  The cost of the dinner is $6 and you may place advance orders.  This is a Carnival Ball Fundraiser.

• Golden Oaks will be going to New Orleans Museum of Art this Wednesday, March 10^th.  We will be departing from SJA parking lot at 11:00 AM.  Please be prompt.

SJA sponsored Couples Retreat

SJA will host its first Couples Retreat at the ABBEY on March 13th and 14th, 2010.  This retreat is a great opportunity for couples to break away from the struggles and tasks that we all encounter daily and spend time rejuvenating and enriching our marriage.
