MANRESA RETREAT HOUSE

Manresa Retreat House (formerly Jefferson College) on River Road in Convent, LA, is known throughout the United States.  The retreats are conducted by the Jesuits in conformity with the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola.  There are eleven half-hour conferences, daily Mass and other spiritual exercises; spiritual directors are present for private consultation.  A large selection of books and tapes are available in the library.  Silence is maintained throughout the retreat.  The river-front plantation setting of the retreat house is conducive to prayer and meditation.  Retreatants receive private rooms.  Retreats begin Thursday at 5:00 PM and end at noon on Sunday.  Retreats are available weekly throughout the year.

DIVINE MERCY CENACLE

The Divine Mercy Cenacle meets every other Wednesday at the Church.  This is a group of people who meet for song, prayer, and a discussion on Scripture and the writings of St. Maria Faustina, as a Small Christian Community.  The revelations given to St. Maria Faustina are excellent for spiritual growth and also give a deeper understanding of our merciful Lord.  Please consider joining this group.

LIVING CHALICE PROGRAM

The Living Chalice Program is an opportunity for families to take home a chalice that is used in Mass.  The chalice is to be placed in a place of honor, to be used to pray for an increase in vocations.  It is kept in the home for one week. Sign-up sheets are in the gathering space.
